Chemoselective reductions of alpha, beta unsaturated systems was achieved using SC-3 and SC-4 (non-toxic) catalysts. The SC in the Catalyst name refers to the Research Institution where the catalyst was first developed such as SC for The University of California, Santa Cruz, and the P Catalysts for Purdue under H.C. Brown for example.

Benefictial Fungi and Bacteria was found to augment the life or a number of different angiosperms (flowering plants) grown for over a year with excellent growth in all respects. The control plants (those without the fungi and bacteria introduced to them died as a result of high air temperatures and winds this Spring of 2009.
